Relva Sconce by Amande Haeghen captures a quiet moment of nature in motion, like a blade of grass bending softly in the wind. Sculpted by hand, the flowing form holds light gently, turning the wall into a landscape of shadow and glow. A small luminous pause where material, movement, and light meet.
Coming from a family where creation rhymes with tradition, Amande Haeghen studied art history and then jumped in ceramic work with both feet. The countless sketches that filled her drawing books had to materialize: Her hands finally finding purpose working the clay with swift, precise gestures. Instinctively drawn to wall installations, she creates an array of styles mixing a variety of organic shapes that fit and embrace the walls like a second skin. Following the opening of her namesake Parisian studio in 2018, she opened an additional workshop in Lisbon in 2021.
