Dabacali is a word in nouchi, a form of slang that appeared in Côte d’Ivoire in the 1980s and is spoken in West Africa. The action of Dabacali is to share an abundant, heavy meal with friends in a festive atmosphere; a true feast in a way. The shape of the Dabacali table echoes the many water towers found in Ouagadougou. The management of water resources and its distribution are a major issue for Burkina Faso.Â
