The Éclair au Chocolat bench was born from the collaboration between Marine Peyre and Procédés Chénel International. The DropCake® panels, made from recycled paper, appealed to the designer for their eco-responsible design, ease of use, and aesthetic quality. The deliberate pairing of contrasting materials, along with the combination of an upholstered element and a rigid structure, gives rise to this distinctive seating piece.
Composed of a structure made from cut DropCake® panels and a foam cushion upholstered in recycled fabric, the bench plays knowingly with its appearance, offering a formal nod to the iconic pastry. Playful in spirit, it also stands out for its ease of assembly, made possible by an interlocking system of slots and notches conceived like a child’s game.
