Silver plated, wood and glass Phi is the result of a collaboration between Puiforcat and the Normal Studio duo, and offers a renewed expression of the tea and coffee service. Bringing together the simplicity of Art Deco and the notion of “Elementary Design” – a reflection on the perfect form – dear to designers Jean-François Dingjian and Eloi Chafaï, the collection exalts the quality of use and expresses simplicity and refinement in the details. The sleek pieces are crafted in silver-plated brass and in glass, accompanied by American walnut handles. All silverware pieces are fashioned and assembled by hand in the Puiforcat workshop.
Puiforcat’s signature style is rooted in the classical and Art Deco movements. Louis Victor Tabouret, who joined the family business in the late 19th century, drew inspiration from 16th and 17th-century royal silversmiths, enhancing the brand’s repertoire with elegant silver hollowware. In the mid-20th century, Jean Puiforcat revolutionized silverwork with his Art Deco designs, characterized by architectural lines and functional elegance, eschewing unnecessary ornamentation. This avant-garde approach continues to define Puiforcat’s aesthetic. Today, Puiforcat is celebrated for its blend of tradition and creativity, crafting the timeless classics of tomorrow while paying homage to its storied past.
