The Fauteuil J.B.X.L by Léo Sentou takes its inspiration from an elegant yet unusual armchair by Maître Ebeniste Jean Baptiste Lelarge (1743-1802). The design echoes classical canons treated in a contemporary manner. Entirely handcrafted by a team of skilled artisans, the original “écusson” back (medallion-like shape), typical arched armrests, and bolsters found in Louis XVI furniture have been simplified, thus becoming sculptural.
Trained at the ENSAAMA Olivier de Serres School in Paris before moving to London to take a master’s degree at Central Saint Martins, Leo Sentou works on high end residential and hospitality projects honing his skills and sense for detail, whilst growing a strong passion for beautiful finishes. In 2021, Leo launched his first furniture line that encapsulates his love for noble materials and exceptional craftmanship.
