Inspired by the works of Maître Ebéniste Jean-Pierre Louis (master in 1787), the Fauteuil J.L. by Léo Sentou is a contemporary reinterpretation of the French Empire furniture canons. Entirely handcrafted in Europe by a team of skilled artisans, the deceptively simple design revisits the traditional column and bronze decoration typical of the period. The legs are made of bleached, limed, and brushed oak, and enriched by a gouged bronze ring, while the enveloping horse-shoe-shaped seat is fully upholstered, with the armrests becoming sculptural.
